"Arrangements for establishment of ship to shore wireless telegraph stations in Portugal were on the point of being concluded by Marconi Company with Portuguese Government to be worked by Company or, if necessary, by a Portuguese Company.

They are informed however by their agent, Marquis de Solari, that German Minister has intervened on behalf of a German firm and delay of a fortnight has been procured.

Urge that British Company was first in the field and represent importance of such a system being in British hands."
